An excellent place to learn more about wind energy. Being able to see the blades and nacelle up close on the ground let's you appreciate their true size.

Considering the billions of dollars invested in the wind turbines on the site, you’d think that the exhibits would be free to promote public support of wind energy, but instead admission to the exhibits was relatively expensive. Can't the large gift shop and restaurant support the aging exhibits? One video shows ca 1980 vintage PCs in use—they couldn’t update the video in nearly 50 years? The "aquarium", was one small tank which was empty when we visited.

This place is a must see. The windmills are very fascinating. The scenery is amazing. We did some beach combing across the street from the wind farm and I actually found a $20 bill that had washed up on the shore! That was the first and only time the island has ever given me any money back!

Located at the tip of Prince Edward Island overlooking the ocean. Within the complex are a gift shop, restaurant, and wind energy interpretive centre.

The wind energy centre is at the north cape and provides some trails through the woods and along the top of the cliffs that are interesting, but would not really be exciting for kids. The kids would be more excited about going treasure hunting at low tide. You can stand in awe at the base of a wind turbine, and see a closeup of the pod and blade up by the buildings. There is no access to the buildings, and in my opinion an educational clean energy exhibit would be a welcome addition for the public.

Along side the centre, the location is spectacular with the cliffs and adventures at low tide. The wind and reef restaurant is a top notch restaurant to replenish yourself.
